The Oregon State Beavers landed one of the top defensive line prospects in the state of Texas over the weekend, securing a commitment from 2027 defensive lineman Tymon Meeks of Aledo High School.

A three-year starter for one of Texas’ premier high school football programs, Meeks has built a reputation as one of the most disruptive defenders in the 2027 class. His combination of strength, relentless effort, and technical ability makes him a perfect fit for Oregon State’s defensive front.

His impressive arm length and power at the point of attack enable him to shed blocks, collapse the pocket, and disrupt plays before they develop. Whether defending the run or rushing the passer, Meeks plays with a relentless motor, pursuing ball carriers from sideline to sideline and finishing plays with authority.

His junior campaign displayed just how dominant he can be. Meeks totaled 94 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 32 quarterback pressures, and three pass breakups. His ability to create consistent pressure and make game-changing plays made him a priority target on the recruiting trail.
