Artavion Davis is a Class of 2027 wide receiver prospect from Milby High School in Houston, Texas. Davis is listed at 6’2” and 180 pounds, but on film, he looks like a grown man playing against boys. I absolutely love what I have seen from Davis on film and am truly astonished by his lack of college offers at this point.
Davis is extremely fluid in his route running and has an exceptional ability to create space with his quickness, stop-start ability, and sharp spins that leave defensive backs behind him. He also possesses the size and strength to use his body effectively, shielding defenders to make catches and then turning up field for additional yards after the catch.
His contact balance allows him to shed defenders, maintain his footing, and continue gaining yards. Davis catches the ball in traffic with ease and runs through soft arm tackles for extra yardage. His precise footwork enables him to make sharp cuts upfield after the catch or come out of his breaks cleanly to create separation, making an easier throw for his quarterback and setting up big play opportunities for his offense.
Davis consistently fights through contact and tackle attempts to gain extra yards and is always falling forward when brought down. He can run any route in the tree with ease, whether it’s a quick slant, a go route, or a nasty sluggo that leaves defensive backs spinning in circles.
There is absolutely nothing I have seen on Davis’ film that explains why this young man has zero college offers. Whatever coach ends up earning the commitment of Artavion Davis will be getting an absolute stud, a wide receiver that other programs will regret overlooking.
