WEEK TWO'S BRIGHTEST STARS
We take a look at the state's brightest stars from week two of the 2025 high school football season.
Mason Taylor (RB) West Carroll High School
Taylor burst onto the scene in week two, exploding for 346 yards and 32 total points in a 52-7 rout of Gibson County. He set the pace, grinding out one of the top rushing performances in the state for Week 2.
Kale Scott (QB) Mt. Pleasant High School
Scott led all passers, throwing for 391 yards in leading Mt. Pleasant to a 41-0 rout of Zion Christian Academy. Payton Lingerfelt of Sullivan East also had a big night through the air, passing for 331 yards in a loss to Chuckey Doak.
Maximus Curry (WR) Battle Ground Academy
A class of 2028 prospect, Curry led all receivers with 191 yards in a 69-0 blowout of Columbia Academy.
DEFENSE
McCallie Blue Tornadoes
In its 24-8 win over Georgia’s defending 2A private school champion, the Blue Tornadoes allowed just 54 yards of total offense against an offense known for producing big numbers.
Raul Manus (LB) Warren County High School
Manus recorded 21 tackles in the Pioneers loss to Livingston Academy.
Amonte Bishop (LB) Oak Ridge (TN.) High School
Bishop was a force to reckon with Friday night, totaling three sacks in the Wildcats rout of Clinton County.
