MOBILE, Ala. (SMU) – Three SMU standouts have been named to the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl Top 300 list, the organization announced on Wednesday. Safeties Isaiah Nwokobia and Ahmaad Moses earned recognition alongside tight end RJ Maryland, giving the Mustangs three representatives among the nation’s top prospects.
With 86 schools represented and 52 selections coming from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), SMU’s trio reflects the depth of talent that helped fuel the Mustangs’ historic 2024 campaign. The Senior Bowl scouting department, composed entirely of former NFL scouts, evaluated over 2,000 prospects nationwide before narrowing the field to the Top 300.
Nwokobia, a Dallas native, returns to the list for the second straight year after anchoring the Mustang defense in 2024. He was one of two SMU players to eclipse 100 tackles, while also adding six pass breakups and three interceptions. His efforts earned him All-ACC First Team honors, Phil Steele All-America Honorable Mention, and multiple preseason accolades in 2025, including his 12th honor of the preseason with this Senior Bowl selection.
Moses emerged as another key defensive presence, recording 73 tackles, six pass breakups, and a team-best six tackles-for-loss among defensive backs. His strong play earned him All-ACC Honorable Mention a year ago. In 2025, he has already been named to the Athlon Sports Preseason All-ACC First Team and Phil Steele Preseason All-ACC Second Team.
On the offensive side, Maryland showcased his explosiveness before an injury cut short his 2024 season. The Southlake native still posted 24 receptions for 359 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to earn All-ACC honors despite missing half the year. Entering 2025, Maryland has been named to the Phil Steele and Athlon Sports Preseason All-ACC Second Teams, as well as the John Mackey Award Watch List and College Football Comeback Player of the Year Watch List.
Being named to the Senior Bowl Top 300 is more than a preseason recognition, it signals that these Mustangs are considered among the nation’s premier NFL prospects.
