⭐️ 3rd Annual Prospects Sports College Showcase: MVPs & Top Performers ⭐️

The 3rd Annual Prospects Sports College Showcase provided a tremendous platform for athletes to perform in front of college coaches and gain exposure. With combine testing, skill drills, and intense 1-on-1 matchups, several prospects stood out across all positions. Here’s a breakdown of the MVPs and top performers from this year’s event:


QB MVP – Brady Bachman (2027, Valley View HS)

5’11”, 190 lbs


Bachman displayed a strong arm with crisp mechanics, delivering the ball with zip outside the numbers and he showed great touch on the deep ball. He showed full command of the route tree and earned QB MVP honors with a standout performance.


 OL MVP – Reid Mace (2027, Waxahachie HS)

6’1”, 275 lbs


Mace dominated from start to finish. His power was on display with 25 reps at 185 on the bench press. He is technically sound with excellent lateral quickness, a stiff punch, and the ability to control defenders at the point of attack.


DL Combine MVP – Jackson Matlock (2026, Celina HS)

6’2”, 195 lbs | OLB/Edge


Matlock’s explosive first step, violent hands, and relentless motor made him a force in 1-on-1s. Also a state champion at Celina, he tallied 30 tackles and 3 sacks last fall. He is versatile enough to project as a nickel or strong safety at the next level. He holds interest from SFA, Sam Houston, Kansas State, and Abilene Christian.


Aidan Brown (2027, Big Sandy HS) – WR

6’0”, 185 lbs


Brown showcased strong hands and precise route running during 1v1s. He had a breakout sophomore year with 47 receptions for 834 yards and 6 TDs. Brown also added 53 yards and a TD on the ground. He holds an offer from Midwestern State.


Wyatt Marker (2026) – ATH

6’1”, 170 lbs


Marker impressed on both sides of the ball. At receiver, he made tough grabs in traffic, while defensively, he excelled in tight coverage. He was one of the top overall performers at the showcase.


Jaylon Leonard (2027, Alief Taylor HS) – OL

6’5”, 340 lbs


Leonard is a true mauler in the trenches. Leonard has size, strength, and surprising short-area quickness. He uses his length effectively in close quarters, he is stout at the point of attack and he finished his blocks with power at the camp. He has the skill set that college coaches covet in offensive linemen at the next level. He is a prospect that colleges need to get eyes on. He has drawn camp invites from Ole Miss and UT Permian Basin. He has a massive upside.


Danilo Penso (2027, Alief Taylor HS) – DB/OLB


Penso is a hybrid defender with good feet and hip mobility. He is sticky in coverage and on film he is a sure tackler in space. Penso had 70 tackles, 10 TFLs, and 2 sacks last season as sophomore starter for Taylor. Penso is a versatile and disciplined defender.


Eric Coleman (2026, Sherman HS) – OL

6’0”, 285 lbs


Coleman is physical at the point of attack with nimble feet and a powerful punch. He excelled during drill work at the showcase and showed he can hold his own against top talent.


Jaxson Ladd (2026, Legacy Christian HS) – LB

5’8”, 180 lbs


Ladd showed that he is explosive and instinctive. During the 1v1s, he showed fluidity in coverage with multiple pass breakups. On film last fall, he showed great instincts and displayed a knack for finding the football. He recorded 156 tackles and 3 sacks as a junior. He is a true tackling machine.


Kaiden Golston (2026, Sherman HS) – WR

5’11”, 170 lbs


Golston is shifty with the quickness to make defenders miss and he showed that he can make plays in the passing game during 1v1s. He made several tough grabs in tight coverage. On film, he runs with good forward lean and acceleration. He is explosive with the ball in his hands.


Evan Koehne (2027, Celina HS) – ATH

5’8”, 180 lbs


Koehne showed excellent quickness and route running at receiver while also making plays at safety. He showed his versatility in the first game of the season last year. He scored three touchdowns, including a pick six. He is a natural playmaker.


Donyae Williams (2026, Rock Hill HS) – DB

5’10”, 175 lbs


Williams is sticky in coverage, he has fluid hips, with violent hands in close quarters, and he has good ball skills. He had several pass breakups during 1v1s. His ability to close on the football in flight led to multiple pass breakups and an interception. On film, he’s a sure tackler, showing positional versatility with the skill set to line up at corner or safety. He logged 58 tackles and 3 INTs last fall. He holds offers from East Central Oklahoma and McPherson.


Mar’Kaden Mapps (2026, Commerce HS) – DL


Mapps plays with a low center of gravity, he is quick off the ball, and he has a stiff punch at engagement. He showed disruptive traits during 1v1s. He is a name to know in the trenches at Commerce.


Eli Hendrix (2029, Celina HS) – ATH


One of the top young performers, Hendrix has the skill set to make plays wherever he lines up. He moved fluidly in drills and flashed power in the weight room with double-digit bench reps pushing up 185 pounds with ease. He is a two-way player with great instincts and toughness. He is a prospect to track in the coming years.


Peyton Anderson (2026, Celina HS) – LB

6’1”, 220 lbs


Anderson is a thumper with great instincts, he is a sure tackler, he attacks the ball carrier under control and he flows to the football well in pads. He showed his power on the bench press, putting up 20 reps at 185 pounds. He was fluid in coverage with multiple pass breakups during the 1v1s at the showcase. As a junior, he logged 55 tackles, 3 TFLs, and a sack while helping lead Celina to a state title.


Chance Smith (2026, Sherman HS) – OL

6’5”, 320 lbs


Smith has a massive frame with an extended reach, he has a stiff punch at engagement and he has solid footwork. He moves well in space, and his lateral quickness stood out in drills. He has a huge upside and should start to gain attention on the recruiting trail this season


Armando Rodriguez (2028, Waco University HS) - OL

5'11, 297 lbs.


Rodriguez plays with good leverage, he is technically sound and he uses his weight, along with his strength to get control of defenders at the point of attack. He showed good lateral quickness and a powerful leg drive in 1v1s at the showcase.


This showcase highlighted several elite athletes with college-level potential. From seasoned 2026 leaders to rising 2029 standouts, this event proved once again to be a crucial step in the recruiting journey.
