One of the top playmakers in Texas is back on the market. Kohen Brown, a dynamic 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver from Waxahachie High School, has decommitted from USC. The four-star prospect originally committed to the Trojans on April 2 but has now reopened his recruitment.

Brown is ranked the No. 243 player nationally and the No. 34 overall prospect in Texas for the 2026 class. He had a breakout junior season, hauling in 54 receptions for 1,084 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also adding 138 rushing yards and two scores on the ground.

A true two-sport athlete, Brown showcased his speed on the track this spring, posting impressive times of 10.6 in the 100 meters and 22.39 in the 200 meters.

His recruitment has been heating up in recent months with offers from programs like Notre Dame and Arizona, and Missouri is also firmly in the mix. Despite backing off his pledge, Brown still has an official visit scheduled with USC on June 13.

Expect his stock to continue rising heading into summer.
