Savant Athletics is dedicated to giving exposure to athletes and "Shining The Light On Hidden Gems." Top Texas Prospects and Savant Athletics are teaming up to give some of the top players who perform well on Friday nights this season the spotlight they earned by their outstanding performances.

In the state of Texas, football is more than just a game, it's a tradition. The Denton Ryan Raiders have long been a standard-bearer for excellence in Texas High School Football. Over the last five seasons, Denton Ryan's record is 51-10, with a 83.6% win percentage. The Denton Ryan Raiders have produced future stars who make waves at top college programs and even land spots in the NFL.

Among the latest rising prospects from the powerhouse program, is Uzziah Warmate, a 6’0”, 250-pound defensive lineman whose combination of strength, speed, and technique has captured the attention of college recruiters.

Currently rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports in the class of 2026, Warmate is making a name for himself as an interior defender with the versatility to play along the edge when needed. Only a junior, Warmate is already impressing coaches and scouts alike with his ability to dominate in the trenches, showcasing both athleticism and football IQ.

What sets Warmate apart from other defensive linemen is his ability to explode off the line of scrimmage. His quick first step makes it difficult for blockers to engage with him, and he consistently generates pressure in the backfield. His lateral quickness is also noteworthy. He can quickly shift and get "skinny" in tight spaces, enabling him to evade blockers and track down plays in the backfield.

This season he has already accumulated 66 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 22 quarterback hurries. These numbers highlight his ability to disrupt both the run and passing game, making him a key player in Denton Ryan's defense. In the first round of the UIL Playoffs, Uzziah tallied 5 total tackles and 2 tackles for loss against Fort Worth Paschal.

Warmate's strength and technique are just as impressive. Despite his relatively compact size for a defensive lineman, he possesses violent hands, and a go-to swim move that allows him to shed blockers with ease. As a primary run-stopper, Warmate consistently shows his ability to clog running lanes and stop ball carriers in their tracks. His instincts for the game are sharp, and his desire to excel is evident in every snap.

Beyond his physical attributes, Warmate brings a level of leadership and passion that energizes his teammates and elevates the performance of the entire defense. Warmate has a vocal presence on the field, he leads by example, always giving maximum effort and setting a tone that inspires his teammates. He plays with a level of intensity and strength that shows he’s not just playing for himself—he’s playing for the team and the tradition of Denton Ryan football.

With offers already in hand from programs like Georgia State and UTSA, Warmate’s recruiting profile is only going to grow as his high school career progresses. His blend of strength, speed, and leadership makes him a coveted prospect for college programs that prioritize toughness and versatility along the defensive line. As he continues to develop, it's clear that his potential is sky-high, and he’s poised to make an impact at the next level.

In the Lone Star State, where football is king, Uzziah Warmate is a name that will continue to garner attention. With his natural talent and relentless drive, he could very well be the next prospect from Denton Ryan to make a big splash at the next level. Keep an eye on this rising star, he’s just getting started. He is a Top Texas Prospect to keep an eye on in the 2026 class.
