Summer Creek is making noise early in the 2025 season, and after their Week Two clash with Lamar, the buzz is getting louder. When you watch the Bulldogs, you see a program that’s not just winning games, they’re building something special. The talent is deep, the execution is sharp, and there’s a toughness to their program. I had a chance to see this squad early and here’s what I saw.

Summer Creek lined up against Lamar and flat out dominated, 58-14. And yeah, we know the Bulldogs have talent. But what really caught my eye? These young dogs who don’t always get the headlines, but play like they’re ready for Saturday football right now. These are the ones I call sleepers, the gems hiding in plain sight.

Let’s start with the junior quarterback, Noah Spinks (#8). Spinks went 25-of-30 for 286 yards, four touchdowns through the air, and added another on the ground. That’s precision. That’s poise. He commanded the huddle like a seasoned leader.

On the outside, senior wide receiver Holden Miller (#1) hauled in nine catches for 65 yards and three touchdowns. Three! That’s red-zone chemistry you can’t teach. Spinks trusted him when they needed six.

Then there’s two way athlete Trenton Thomas (#15) who had three grabs for 123 yards. Do the math. That’s chunk yardage and game-breaking explosiveness. He looked like the guy you circle on the scouting report, yet still can’t stop.

Junior wide out Benny Easter Jr. (#4) was steady and reliable, showing off his polished routes and huge catch radius. Every quarterback needs that third-down security blanket and Benny is that guy.

In the backfield, running back Keshawn Jackson (#25) punched in a touchdown, showing burst and vision, while running back Braylin Causey (#26) provided a physical presence. Through two games, Causey’s mix of power, balance, and bend screams Division I back. That’s thunder and lightning right there.

Defensively, the secondary was lights out. Aaden Manual (#16), Keshawn Singleton (#30), and Morrel Davis (#27) locked down Lamar’s passing attack. Sticky, physical and disciplined are instincts they possess that can’t be coached.

In the trenches, big Kyle Mallory (#95) anchored the defensive line, clogging the middle and making life miserable for Lamar’s backs. His name will be one to watch this year and beyond.

And don’t forget #2, Tyson Joiner. The senior middle linebacker was everywhere, flying to the ball, leading the defense, and piling up tackles. He wasn’t just reacting, he was directing traffic. When Summer Creek needed a stop, Tyson delivered. If recruiters are watching, he’s a no-brainer prospect. Get eyes on him now.

Here’s the bottom line: Summer Creek’s got dudes, man. Not just the big names, not just the five-star prospects. These are hungry athletes, overlooked right now, but when you turn on the tape they pop. If I’m a college coach, I’m putting a star by these numbers: 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 16, 25, 26, 27, 30, 95. Because in a couple years, you’ll be asking, “How did we miss on him?” That’s what The Hidden Gem Report is all about, shining the light where it needs to be shined.

When the playoffs come around, teams like Summer Creek are the ones that make noise. They're balanced, they’re hungry, and they’ve got game-changers on both sides of the ball. This isn’t just a group with potential, it’s a group that can realistically make a run at a state title. If you haven’t circled the Bulldogs on your watchlist yet, now’s the time.
