Top Texas Prospect Ethan Feaster Reclassifies to 2026, Names Final 12

Desoto’s Ethan Feaster, one of the top prospects in Texas, has made a major move, reclassifying from the 2027 class to 2026, making the 2025 season his senior year. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound playmaker is a 5-star prospect, ranked as the No. 2 player in Texas and No. 3 wide receiver in the nation.

Feaster is the complete package at wide receiver, possessing elite hands, a large catch radius, and exceptional route-running ability. He runs the full route tree with precision and has the speed to stretch the field. Whether it’s beating defenders deep or winning 50/50 jump balls, he’s a matchup nightmare. Beyond his receiving skills, Feaster is also a dominant blocker in the run game, adding physicality to his skill set.

In 2024, Feaster put up 57 receptions for 824 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 14.5 yards per catch. His freshman year was just as impressive, with 32 catches for 634 yards and 9 touchdowns, helping Desoto go undefeated and win a state title.

With his reclassification, Feaster is now one of the top overall players in the 2026 class. He recently announced his final 12 schools, featuring some of the nation’s premier programs: SMU, Texas, LSU, Tennessee, Miami, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Alabama, Colorado, and Oklahoma.

Feaster’s list includes 2024 national champion Ohio State, as well as Texas and Oregon—teams that competed in the College Football Playoff this past season. As one of the top Texas prospects and one of the most sought-after players in the country, Feaster’s recruitment will be one of the biggest storylines in the 2026 class.
