The Week That Was…
The biggest regular season game of the year once again lived up to the hype, as Baylor edged rival McCallie 38–35 to remain undefeated. It just doesn’t get any better than “The Biggest Rivalry in Chattanooga.”
Trailing by double digits, Walker Valley stormed back in the second half and capped the comeback with a field goal as time expired to steal a 40–37 road win at East Hamilton. The victory puts the Mustangs firmly in the driver’s seat for the number one seed in Class 5A, Region 3.
Mari Dowell provided the spark for Tyner, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns to keep the Rams unbeaten. Tyner escaped Chattanooga Prep with a 46–37 win, improving to 7–0 for just the fourth time in school history.
