With the regular season now in the books we reflect back on some of the best individual performances from the 2025 regular season.

Friday Night's Brightest Stars in 2025

OFFENSE

David Gabriel George Runs Wild vs McCallie

Baylor Uber back David Gabriel Georges saved his best performance for the biggest stage. DGG, widely considered the #1 RB in the class of 2027, rushed for 280 yards and 3 TDs against rival McCallie in a contest featuring two nationally ranked programs.

Superman In Cleats

Antioch QB  Andre Adams demonstrated why he's one of the most sought after prospects in the class of 2027. In a week five win over Centennial, Adams accounted for 714 yards of total offense,  establishing a new single game state record for total yards by a single player. Weeks later, Adams would account for all nine TDs in a 62-60 win over Franklin Rd. Academy.

Manu’s Late Game Heroics Lifts Alcoa over Maryville.

In his very first start, junior QB Thomas Manu threw for 162 yards and two TDs, lifting Alcoa to a come-from-behind win over rival Maryville in the 97th installment of  ‘The Battle Of Pistol Creek.’ Manu, who played for Maryville last season, transferred to Alcoa over the summer.

Lawrence Autry Refused To Be Denied.

In a crucial early season matchup, Collierville running back and Tulane commit Lawrence Autry rushed for 258 yards and 2 TDs, lifting his team to a 39-35 win over Lake Home.

DEFENSE

In this age of pass happy, five wide formations and trips right offenses putting up historical numbers, the defense often gets overlooked. But not here at OnDaMarcSports.com. We know the value of a good defense and for that reason we're going to acknowledge some of the defensive standouts from the 2025 season as well.

Jonathan Csilag

Johnson Co. High School

Most Tackles

A two-way star for Johnson County High School, Csilag led the state in tackles with 151.

DeMarcus Carter

Booker T. Washington

Most Sacks

A hard-hitting senior with a knack for getting to the QB. Carter recorded 15 sacks in 2025. The most of any player in the state of Tennessee.

15 sacks

Kylan Simmons

Memphis Business School

A multi-sport star, Simmons projects as one of the nation's top prospects in the class of 2029. Despite his youth, Simmons served notice that his island is a no-fly zone as he recorded a state high nine interceptions in 2025.
