FRIDAY NIGHT’S BRIGHTEST STARS
Week #9
Despite the limited schedule due to fall break, there were plenty of stars on Friday night. Here’s a look at a few of them.
Kaedyn Marable, QB, C/O 2026, Battleground Academy Hs.
He continues to dazzle and this week was no different. In BGA’s 56-14 win over Pope John Paul II, Marable was 13-of-14 (92.9%) for 273 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Briggs Cherry, QB, C/O 2026, Baylor Hs.
The 4-star Louisville commit turned in another scintillating performance, going 18-of-24 for 332 yards and 4 TDs in Baylor’s 45-0 win over Ambassador Christian.
Quincy Mitchell, RB, C/O 2028, Forest Hs.
The state’s leading rusher had perhaps his best outing all season in Friday night’s 50-20 win over Cascade. Mitchell, a sophomore, rushed 25 times for 329 yards and four touchdowns. Wow!
Dayvon Cooper, ATH, C/O 2027 South Pittsburg Hs.
The Louisville commit had four catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in the Pirates’ 56-0 takedown of undefeated Sale Creek.
Even with a lighter slate of games, Week 9 still showcased some of the most electric performances of the season. From dominant rushing displays to nearly flawless quarterback play, these athletes proved that Friday night lights shine brightest on those who rise to the occasion. As the regular season nears its close, expect these names to continue making noise on the state’s biggest stages.
